United against Diabetes

Empowering communities through education, screening,
and equitable access to resources

Our Mission

The high presence of diabetics and prediabetics, especially in underserved communities, calls for an initiative to address gaps in medical resource accessibility and education. United Against Diabetes (UDiabetes) at Berkeley is a student-led club dedicated to reducing the impact of diabetes and prediabetes through education, screening, and equitable access to resources.

Our mission is to empower communities by distributing free diabetic care kits, offering preventive screenings for complications such as vision, kidney, and cardiovascular health, and connecting individuals to sustainable medical support networks.

We aim to close the gap in diabetes awareness and early detection, particularly in underserved areas, by bringing accessible care and education directly to neighborhoods, churches, food pantries, and community fairs across the East Bay and beyond.
